本赛季古铁雷斯在赫罗纳位置稳固，联赛出场时间占比93%，贡献1球2助攻。与皇马现役左后卫相比，他在1252分钟的出场时间内完成16次射门、602次传球、110次对抗，各项数据均优于门迪（684分钟）和弗兰-加西亚（667分钟）。
古铁雷斯特别是在进攻端表现突出，本赛季已完成21次精准传中，高于皇马球员莫德里奇的19次。在对抗成功率方面也达到50%的优秀水平。米切尔教练认为他是最能理解球队战术的球员之一，而他本人也从未掩饰重回皇马的愿望。
2022年夏天，皇马以400万欧元的价格，把古铁雷斯卖给了赫罗纳，当时双方约定皇马保留该球员50%未来二次转会分成的权益，并可以800万欧回购他，古铁雷斯和赫罗纳的合同2027年夏天到期。
